Journey to Scratch
1/8/2026
As part of my New Year’s golf resolution, I’m focusing on two words this year: consistency and resiliency.
Consistency, for me, doesn’t mean just hitting a ton of golf balls and calling it practice. I’ve done that. It means showing up regularly with a plan. The keyword here is plan. Something structured that helps me stay on track and actually measure progress. Good days, bad days, frustrating days. Show up anyway.
The second word is resiliency.
This is the harder one. There have been so many times where I start strong, stay consistent for a bit, then hit a wall. That’s usually when I want to throw my clubs or question why I even play this game. This year, I’m committing to pushing through those moments. Trusting the process and sticking with it whether things are going well or not.
Just like all the gym rats running to 24 Hour Fitness on January 2nd, I’m running to my simulator studio consistently.
The difference is this time, I’m not quitting.
